IV - The Emperor

Right side up: If the person who consults the cards is a man, the card can refer to him and indicate a full success in the area, or areas, which are important for him. If the person who consults the cards is a woman, the card indicates either the man she loves or the necessity for her to get in contact with her own male side and allow this side to act (for instance, to exhibit more fighting spirit in order to achieve her plans).

Upside down: If the person who consults the cards is a man, the upside down card can represent him and indicate partial success in the area, or areas, which he is interested in. If the consultant is a woman, it indicates a weakening of the figure of her beloved, either because the woman herself experiences sentiments less intensely or because the sentiments of the man are weakened, or because he is physically or psychologically distant. It can also indicate that a woman doesn't express her masculine side, in the sense of capability of accomplishing successful actions, or that a man doesn't express his strength, his capacity to give love to a woman or to experience sexuality.
