THE SPIRIT GUIDE
My encounter with Franco Santoro occurred in a very particolar way. I have always liked the books written by the spiritual master Osho Rajneesh, and, in a particular period of my life, for a couple of months everywhere I went I saw a car with the sign ‘Osho' on the rear glass, certainly the car of one of the centres in Rome inspired by the master's work. I was beginning to think that there was a message for me in the numerous encounters with the car, and that maybe the time had come to deepen my knowledge of the master's thoughts, possibly starting to attend one of the centres of his teachings. I visited a couple of them without finding what I was looking for. As in that period I was organizing a medical astrology residential seminar in which I would deal with the theorical aspects of that subject, I wanted someone to run a practical healing experience during the seminar, and for this reason I was looking for something interesting in the specialized magazines. At a certain point I came across an advertisement of an experiential astrology seminar held by Franco Santoro, in which they spoke about the possibility of having a direct experience of one's planets through the use of the zodiacal circle on the floor, and among other things they said that Franco had been Osho Rajneesh's press agent. As I was still thinking about my repeated meetings with the mysterious car, I called Franco who was happy to run an experience of experiential astrology in my seminar. From that experience a three-year-course of astroshamanism, held by Franco in my house, resulted. This course changed my life as first of all it brought about my encounter with the Spirit Guide, the following ‘investiture' by my Guide to help others to get in contact with their Guides, as well as the possibility of working with the zodiacal circle on the floor as a very strong source of consciousness and healing. My work and the work of Franco Santoro, who nowadays lives and works in the spiritual community of Findhorn, Scotland, are motivated by the same intention of Light, but, because of a natural inclination and on the advice of my Guide I have not deepened the more shamanic aspects of Franco's work, which he deals with with great ability; I am a channeler, a person who helps others to get in contact with their Spirit Guide. It is the main Spirit Guide, who can be identified with the Guardian Angel, the Guide people get in contact with through the work with me. It's very important for me to make a statement. Generally what is meant for channeling is the utilization of a medium as an intermediary to speak to one's Spirit Guide. Personally I am quite opposed to this kind of contact, as I believe that there should be no intermediaries in the relationship between us and our spiritual world. The presence of intermediaries generates dependence, and, on the other hand, it is possible that in the dialogue between the intermediary and our Spirit Guide (always supposing that he is able to contact our true Guide), other presences insinuate themselves, and the result is a message which contains the answers of our Guide with some interferences which can be totally misleading. Starting from the presupposition that our Guide has been accompanying us since we were born, what I mean with helping people to get in contact with their Guide is allowing them to become conscious of His presence, giving Him a name, a physical appearance (true Guides almost never show Their faces clearly), a collocation in time. All this allows us to easily call the Guide when we need Him, always getting an advice of Light, or simply when we desire the comfort of His company. Many of us have had in different circumstances of life the sensation of a presence, of a protection, for example someone was miracolously saved from an accident or put back on the right path by an invisible friendly hand. Entering into conscious contact with the Guide means taking another step, that is not only asking our Guide to protect us when we have difficulties, but also to help us to realize on the Earth works of Light. It means to live in the Light, to unite spirit and matter. During the first period of my contact with the Guide, it seemed absurd to me to bother Him for advice about my daily life, but Franco explained to me that Guides desire to be consulted by us, as through us They can realize works of Light on the Earth. Yet, in order to do this, Guides want to be called. They cannot interfere with our karma, and for this reason, if we do not call Them They limit Themselves to protecting us when we are in danger and when karma itself does not demand getting to the bottom of that danger. If we call Them we have the possibility of turning karma into dharma, that is to redeem ourselves from a condition of painful repetition of karmic situations through the shift to a level where karmic laws no longer exist, as they are transformed by the spiritual Light.
From the astrological point of view this means that we have the possibility of transforming the difficult aspects of our birthchart : in order to allow this to occur, we need to experience each zodiacal sign, astrological house or planet in its high instead of in its low vibration. For example the planet Uranus in its low vibration means separations, sudden downfalls of situations, rebellion at any cost. In its high vibration it means constructive opening to new things, subtle energies, astrology, advanced technologies in respect to the environment, community spirit. If a person, who has in his birthchart difficult aspects of Uranus (for example, a square Venus-Uranus, which inclines to emotional separations), starts to experience Uranus in one, or better, more than one of its high vibrations, he will no longer run into painful emotional separations. It sounds like a miracle, and, as a matter of fact, miracles happen when we start to vibrate at a higher level; on the other hand, the planet has only one energy and it is up to us to decide at which level we want to experience that energy. It is exactly this change, from a thick and material vibration, in which all human sufferings occur, to a subtle and high vibration, where there are no pains, but harmony, peace and acceptance, that Guides help us to achieve. Without Them for human beings, who are deeply plunged in the physical and material world, it is often difficult to realize this change : usually when we manage to raise the level of our perceptions it is because of a terrible pain, like a serious illness or the loss of a beloved person. Guides teach us to realize the vibrational jump by following a path of joy, not of pain, but, certainly, They need our collaboration, our commitment and efforts in order to help us. It is not a path for lazy people, in fact, but for people of good will.
Finally, Guides don't really have the appearance They show to us. They are pure Light, and don't have human features. Yet They show Themselves to us as if They had human features, in order to be more understandable ; on the other hand the energetic meaning of Their appearance is important : from the point of view of energy, in fact, it is different to have as a Guide a woman or a man, a warrior or a shaman, a priest or a peasant, an adult or a child. The energetic meaning of the Guide always has something to do with us, generally with our best part, or with the part we should develop to its full extent to be truly ourselves and to be happy : it is as if our Guide was our double of Light in the spiritual dimension or someone who, from that dimension, guides us in order to make us approach the Light as much as we can.
